The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One Gu: with small infilled chips to the rim, two with an associated hairline crack (the largest 1.2 cm max approx.); some areas of restoration to the foot and mouth rim (max approx 2.5 cm).
One Gu: small thin area of overpainting to the foot (approx 0.7 cm); two small chips to the foot, one infilled (approx. 0.8 cm.).
One baluster vase: with two cracks to the neck (the larger approx. 1.5 cm.) with associated restoration to the interior.
One baluster vase: infilled chip to the rim (approx. 1 cm.); a few small areas of retouch to the body.
One baluster vase: approx. half of the circumference of the neck has been restored.
All vases: minor wear to the foot rim.
One cover: finial restuck and approx. 2 cm. restoration to the rim.
Other two covers: minor retouches to the enamel.
The garniture remains attractive and presentable.
