A BLUE AND WHITE EWER
SHUNZHI PERIOD (1644-1661)
The ewer is decorated to the exterior with peony and chrysanthemum blooms growing from rocks and two birds amongst the branches, all below a band of scrolling foliage and stylised tulips to the neck. The base is painted with a leaf motif.
