A BLUE AND WHITE KENDI AND A BOTTLE VASE
Wanli Period (1573-1619)
The kendi is painted to the exterior with panels of floral sprays, scholarly attributes and stylised foliage. The bottle vase is decorated to the body with floral sprays, birds and double-gourds, below two bands of ruyi-heads surrounding the neck and mouth.
