A BLUE AND WHITE 'KRAAK PORSELEIN' DISH AND A BLUE AND WHITE DISH
Wanli Period (1573-1619) AND MID-17TH CENTURY
The 'kraak porselein' dish is decorated to the centre with a star-shaped cartouche with a flower-filled jardinière surrounded by panels of peach and antiquities at the rim. The second dish is decorated with a central roundel of two scholars at a riverbank, surrounded by panels of stylised tulips and farmers.
The larger, 14 3/8 in. (36.4 cm.) diam.
