A COLLECTION OF FAMILLE ROSE FIGURES
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795) AND 19TH CENTURY
The group comprises: a pair of ear-cleaning groups with an elegantly dressed woman attending a seated man; a Hehe erxian group, the laughing Immortal twins standing side by side, one carrying a vase, the other a bowl; a standing figure of Shoulao with a leafy branch of peaches flicked over his right shoulder; a blue and celadon-glazed mother, child and baby group; and two similar figures of Guanyin, wearing a cowl and long, loosely draped robes seated on a lotus base together with a bird and a flask.
