The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
With some restorations, including a restuck crack to where Zhuyi joins the rocky base; the head of Wen Chang has been restuck.
A few areas of minor restoration, including: the head of the ruyi sceptre, the hair of the horse; tips of two scholars' caps.
A bruise and and a thin hairline crack to the front edge of the rocky base (the larger approx. 1 cm.).
Light surface wear.
The figural maintains a good display aesthetic and the glaze is a good creamy tone.
