We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All have tiny frits and rubbing and light wear to enamels and gilt in keeping with its age.
Large dish 35 cm. diam.: surface scratch 10 cm to underside rim, black enamelled name to base and number that are illegible, tiny frits.
Circular dish 32 cm. diam.: light scratches and rim frits as above.
Circular dish 28.5 cm.: 3-sectioned crack to centre of dish approximately max. 9 cm. long visible to both sides. Underside with several tiny rim chips max. 0.8 cm. long.
Second circular dish 28.5 cm.: visible rim crack 7 cm. long visible on both sides: wear/rubbing.
Shallow bowl 25.3 cm. diam.: wear and rubbing.
Dish 22.8 cm. diam.: 2 rim cracks 3 cm. x 2.3 cm. long, 3 small flake dips to underside, largest max. 0.4 cm. diam.
No 1 salt: lower edge of base approximately 5 cm. wide has been restored.
No 2 salt: glaze crack to exterior of central panel approx 8.5 cm. long.
All three salts have chips to rims, rubbing and losses to enamel.
Sauce tureen: rim crack 4 cm. long visible on both sides. Visible firing crack to one side of handle, underneath handle there is a rim crack 0.8 cm. long restored with overpainting. To left of visible firing crack there are small areas of restoration and repainting to rim measuring 2 cm. long with further small areas of overpainting to the border. Several small flake chips and fritting.
Associated circular butter dish, cover and stand: the butter dish has been broken in two sections through the middle with associated repair to the rim; the crack with a smaller crack running up it measuring 5 cm. long.
The dish: one handle has been broken off and restuck with discolouration and yellow repair.
The cover: finial of cover with two large flake chips, the largest measuring 0.8 cm. long.
All three pices with fritting and losses to enamel.
