A FAMILLE ROSE TEAPOT AND COVER, AND A FAMILLE ROSE TEA CADDY AND COVER
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
The teapot and tea caddy are each similarly decorated with a scene of two amorous figures in a pavilion with two boys playing beside them and an attendant entering to the side. The wood grain of the building and furniture are delicately rendered in iron red and en grisaille enamels. The covers are decorated with peony and chrysanthemum sprays within a gilt, iron red and en grisaille border.
