The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
The vase: There is a forked crack measuring approx. 23 cm. running horizontally just above the foot. There is a smaller hairline crack measuring approx. 2 cm. to the base. The base has been oversprayed to the interior and exterior. This is possibly to conceal further cracks.
The cover: There is some rubbing to the gilt of the finial. The head of the lion has been off and restuck. One eye and one ear of the lion have been restored.
