A PAIR OF CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL 'QUAIL' CENSERS AND COVERS
18TH CENTURY
Each censer is modelled in the form of a standing quail with its head turned to one side and beak open. The wings form the cover and fit onto a circular aperture on the back. The bodies are wired and enamelled in turquoise, with the wings highlighted in multi colours.
