The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
One peacock plate has two small chips, one with an associated restoration to the rim.
One peacock plate has two areas of the rim restored with overpainting and overspraying (the larger max. 5.5 cm., the smaller 2.5 cm.) and a few scattered areas of light retouching.
One cockerel plate has some chips to the footrim.
One cockerel plate has a hairline rim crack of circa 5 cm.
One peony plate has a star crack to the base and a hairline extending 5.5 cm. from the rim.

All plates have some very minor rim nicks and losses to the enamels as may be expected.
