The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes to the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
There are a few small nicks and chips to the rims on each piece where the enamel joins the metal.
There are a few minor crackles to the surface, as expected with age.
Both bowls have large areas of restoration to the rims. The interiors have been oversprayed. One cover has restoration to the finial. The other cover has some restoration to the rim.
The colours of the enamels remain bright.
