FAMILLE ROSE DISHES
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
One dish is decorated with a pair of pheasants in a flower garden with rocks, surrounded at the rim with four cartouches of Buddhist symbols reserved on a flower and bamboo ground. The other dish is similarly decorated to the centre with a pair of pheasants amongst large peony blooms, the rim is painted with five cartouches each enclosing a different animal.
The largest 12 ¾ in. (32.4 cm.) diam.
