EINSTEIN, Albert (1879-1955). Autograph letter signed ("A. Einstein") [to Anton Lampa?, Prague,] 29 June 1912.

In German. One page, 222 x 143mm (light toning).

Preparing for an eight week vacation, Einstein requests that his colleague handle the affairs of the Physics Society: "I can no longer say goodbye to you personally. I wish you happy holidays and hereby confidently place the affairs of our physics society in your hands for the 8 weeks of my absence." He adds that he had "not yet answered the letter from the chemical society," and was unsure "whether notice has already been taken of the other two communications that have been received."
