HAMILTON, Alexander (c.1757-1804). Document signed ("A Hamilton Secr[etar]y of the Tre[asur]y"), n.p., n.d.

180 x 75mm. Paper seal of the Department of the Treasury above Hamilton’s signature (minor hole above seal, light soiling at top left corner). Affixed to a mat, framed with a portrait.

An unusual example of Hamilton's signature adding his position as Secretary of the Treasury, accomplished on a stub cut from an unknown document printed by Childs and Swaine and bearing a ink identification as number "Fifty One" in another hand.
