Lot Essay

Kornfeld records two proof impressions before the edition and a total of ten unnumbered impressions aside from the edition, including three inscribed HC. The present impression may be one of those three.
There was also the unlimited, unsigned magazine edition on different paper and with a vertical central fold, published in Derrière le Miroir, Paris, no. 98, June 1957.
