The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the colours fresh and bright.
- a small printing flaw at lower right (the Chine appliqué with a short tear and folded over in the printing process).
- a minor, unobtrusive printer's crease in the Chine appliqué at lower right.
- some mottled foxing in the margins.
- time staining at the extreme sheet edges.
- minor remains of adhesive and a small, stamp-like paper label, inscribed in blue crayon AS, at the centre of the sheet verso.
