The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- with wide margins, probably the full sheet.
- the colours fresh and bright.
- some scattered foxmarks and paler, mottled foxing in the margins.
- a short repaired tear (circa 15 mm.) at the upper sheet edge.
- remains of adhesive at the upper sheet edge in places.
- time staining at the extreme sheet edges.
- minor remains of old adhesive, a small skinned patch and a small, stamp-like paper label, inscribed in blue crayon, at the centre of the sheet verso.
