The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the colours very fresh and bright.
- occasional very pale fox marks in the margins.
- brown hinging tape at the upper sheet edge verso, with associated discoloration showing through recto.
- a fold to the sheet at the extreme lower left edge verso, mainly visible verso.
