drypoint with traces of pen and ink, 1914, on laid Arches paper, signed and titled in pencil, inscribedf 1. Probedruck, the first trial proof, with the contour of a raised knee at right and other touches added in pen and ink, a very fine impression of the first state (of two), printed with much burr and a rich and varied plate tone, one of a very small number of lifetime impressions
