The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with wide margins, the sheet presumably trimmed.
- a 70 mm. vertical tear in the upper right margin.
- a long vertical crease at lower right, reaching into the subject.
- mount-staining in the margins.
- the colours still strong.
- a few small spots and stains in the margins.
- white paper tape along the lower and left sheet edges verso.
- the publisher's label attached to the lower right sheet corner verso.
