The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a 30 mm. scratch in the upper right image, and some minor scuffs elsewhere,
- a long 47 cm. diagonal crease in the lower margin through the signature, and some further creasing in the lower and upper margins.
- some tiny paper losses and nicks at the sheet edges.
- a moisture stain in the lower margin.
- scattered foxing in the margins.
- remains of old hinges at the upper sheet edge verso.
