The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet
- some very minor rubbing/polishing marks at places in the red background (mainly visible in a raking light)
- some very tiny pin-point pigment losses at the extreme sheet edges in places
- hinged with Japanese paper on the reverse (the reverse not full examined)
