The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the colours strong.
- the sheet reduced by circa 5 mm. below and at right.
- a long rubbing mark in the lower right subject.
- other areas of rubbing in places at the right and upper sheet edges.
- a small abrasion at the lower sheet edge.
- a tiny tear and crease at the lower right sheet tip, with tiny flecks of ink loss.
- some soft handling creases overall, visible in raking light.
- a few small moisture stains at the lower sheet edge, partially over the signature.
