The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- an irregular scratch on the red at the upper centre, below the golden strip (approx. 35 mm.).
- some rubbing marks in places, mostly on the red and on the silver above and below.
- some soft handling creases in places, mostly visible in the margins.
- two printing flaws in the red at the upper right.
- some discolouration along the sheet edges.
- a short tear at the upper centre right sheet edge (approx 8 mm.), a few nicks and indentations along the sheet edges in places.
- some skinning at the lower right corner verso.
