The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with a slightly irregular sheet edge at lower centre.
- the colours slightly attenuated, particularly the red background as is common with this print.
- a moisture stain along the lower sheet edge extending slightly into the image at the centre and lower right; also visible verso.
- the signature and date blurred as a result of the moisture staining; possibly re-inforced.
- a small area of retouching to the subject's neck, and at the lower right image, concealing the edge of the moisture staining.
- a small skilfully repaired split to the right of the subject's neck, above the 'A' of 'Andy'.
- tiny paper losses at the tips of the lower corners.
- some time staining, mainly visible in the margins.
- a small moisture stain at upper left verso.
- backboard staining verso.
- drum mounted along all four sheet edges verso.
