The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the gold and silver still bright and unattenuated.
- a very faint horizontal line of rubbing to the silver ink at the base of the tin.
- a very minor rubbing in the red areas and in the left margin, mainly visible in raking light.
- some minor handling creases in the right margin, mainly visible in raking light.
