The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- presumably the full sheet (F&S calls for 914 x 914 mm.).
- the colours fresh and bright.
- a 85 mm. vertical crease top left sheet edge and three shorter horizontal creases, mainly visible in a raking light.
- a vertical crease lower left and another at the extreme lower right sheet corner.
- the extreme lower left corner and the lower and left sheet edges with tiny ink losses.
- a couple of unobtrusive handling creases in the subject's neck, another to the left of the nose.
- a soft crease between the eyes.
- a 10 mm. moisture drop above the right eye.
- minor unobtrusive scuffs.
- minor indentations at the sheet edges associated with the hinging tape verso.
- uneven backboard-staining verso.
- the sheet edges with a thin band of darker backboard-staining, verso,
- hinged with fabric tape along the sheet edges verso.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
