The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- scuff marks, rubbing and handling marks in numerous places across the sheet, with some occasional fine scratches
- a crease at the left sheet edge (40 mm.) and two other creases (25 mm. and shorter) at the upper sheet edge, with some associated ink loss, skillfully touched-in.
- three other creases (70 mm. and shorter) and a few softer creases in places (mainly visible in a raking light).
- some remains of adhesive at the sheet corners and in places at the extreme sheet edges verso.
- white paper tape along the upper sheet edge and minor skinning in places at the extreme sheet edges verso.
