The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- some minor rubbing to the matte black and brown inks, as is common with this print, in the area of the hair, and above the signature,

- some minor rubbing to areas in matte brown ink, as is common with this print.
- an unobtrusive crease at the lower left corner, visible in raking light.
- some cockling to the sheet, visible in raking light.

- some soft unobtrusive creasing, mainly in the area of the subject's jaw, visible in raking light.
- some minor cockling to the sheet.
- a very faint line in places along the left sheet edge from contact with the mount.
