The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- with wide margins, presumbaly the full sheet.
- a paper loss at the lower right corner (approx. 28 x 60 mm.), partially backed with brown wove paper.
- pale scattered foxing throughout.
- pale mount and light-staining.
- a very pale moisture stain at the right sheet edge.
- remains of old adhesive staining recto and verso.
- a few printer's creases in the margins, one partially split at upper left.
- a few short tears and a pinhole at the left sheet edge.
- a soft diagonal fold in the upper margin.
