The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- trimmed a few millimeters into the image on three sides, presumably by the artist.
- a minor nick (2 mm.) at the right sheet edge.
- some pale brown staining in the left and lower sections of the composition.
- various flattened creasing across the sheet, mainly visible verso and in a raking light.
- small incisions in three places, possibly for registration in the printing, repaired and lightly backed with paper fibres verso.
- hinged with paper tape at various places along the sheet edges verso.
- the sheet with some brown staining (possibly from old adhesive) and stray printing ink verso.
- the reverse only partially examined.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
