FURTHER DETAILS
Rory McEwan is recognized for his important involvement in folk music during the 1960s, though in later life he focused on the visual arts. His detailed, hyper-realistic botanical watercolours, along with his experimental abstract sculptures, have come to be regarded as some of the most important Scottish works of the late twentieth century; with his works acquired by, amongst others, the British Museum, Tate Gallery and Scottish National Gallery.
