The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue entry:
- the full sheet, with deckle edges on all sides
- inscribed 4. in pencil at lower right sheet corner recto
- with light-staining, the exposed sheet area toned to brown (retaining the grey paper tone in the area covered by the mount and on the reverse)
- some very soft scuffs visible in the black (mainly visible in a raking light)
- a flattened and unobtrusive diagonal crease at the upper sheet edge (mainly visible in a raking light)
- two paper hinges at the left sheet edge, and remains of two paper hinges at the upper sheet edge
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
