The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with wide margins.
- a short horizontal surface scratch through the left shin of the woman, possibly touched in with grey wash.
- three smallish areas in the margins covered with gesso (?) recto, presumably to cover areas of staining, outside the lower left plate edge, in lower margin to the left, and in the lower margin near the lower sheet edge at centre.
- pale scattered foxing in the margins recto, and considerable foxing across the sheet verso.
- the sheet partially glued to the front mount, along the upper sheet edge recto, with an associated skinned and split area.
- with white paper tape along the sheet edges verso.
