The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- an area of paper loss (circa 40 x 10 mm.) at the upper sheet edge, with related retouching of the image.
- a small puncture in the upper left margin and two pinpoint holes at the upper right sheet corner.
- three diagonal creases at the upper right corner (the largest 60 mm.), each partially broken and repaired.
- two diagonal flattened creases at the lower right corner.
- two repaired tears (the longest circa 50 mm.) extending from the lower sheet edge into the lower image.
- other minor nicks and repaired tears at the sheet edges,
- the sheet with light- and time staining.
- scattered pale foxing across the sheet recto and verso, with two darker foxspots in the right margin recto.
- hinged with paper tape at various points verso, with remains of old hinging and associated minor skinning.
