The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- pale time and mount staining, the colours slightly attenuated.
- the ink signature faded, as is common with this print.
- a 15 mm. scuff mark in the lower left margin.
- remains of glue from old hinges at the upper corners recto, showing through verso.
- occasional soft handling creases to the sheet, visible in raking light.
- paper tape hinges at the upper edges verso.
