The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with deckle edges below and at right.
- a band of very pale staining along the extreme upper edge, presumably where previously mounted, with some associated creasing.
- some pale foxing in the margins and verso.
- an unobtrusive horizontal drying crease, mainly visible in raking light.
- inscribed 2 in pencil at the lower sheet edge recto.
- a pencil inscription verso 'R4786/40'.
Otherwise as described and in very good condition, mounted and framed.
