The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- presumably the full sheets, some with a deckle below.
- only M.III 4, 7-8 examined out of frame.
- M. 7 adhered to the backboard at the sheet edges.
- the sheets bear an inkstamp of the Italian export office, verso, dated 1989.
- the sheet with pale time staining at the extreme sheet edges.
- occasional pinpoint foxmarks in places.
- a few flattened folds and some soft creasing in places.
- the portfolio showing wear, with some skinning, surface dirt and occasional stains.
- other smaller defects.
Otherwise as described, each print framed, only three examined out of the frame, therefore most versos not examined, generally in good condition.
