The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with a deckle edge above and below.
- the signature and edition number in pencil faint.
- a paper split at the right of the central tree, extending to the roof, skilfully repaired.
- some minor pinholes in the margins.
- very light time staining at the extreme sheet edges and minor soiling in the margins in places, mostly visible in backlight.
