the complete book containing six lift-ground etchings and aquatint in colours, four of the etchings and the frontispiece with hand-colouring, with text by Julian Barnes, 1996-97, on Arches wove paper, signed and dated by the artist in pencil, inscribed H.C. 12/15 and signed by the author in black ink, an hors commerce copy aside from the standard edition of 150 (there were also 15 artist's proofs), bound (as issued) with the blue card dust jacket, published by Palawan Press, London, 1996, printed and hand-coloured by Jack Shirreff at the 107 Workshop
