The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the sheet with pale mount-staining.
- a soft horizontal crease across the upper image, with other minor handling creases across the sheet (mainly visible in a raking light).
- a small surface abrasion in the right margin, at centre.
- occasional stray ink spots and pale dirt marks in the margins.
- three small surface abrasions in places at the upper sheet edge verso, presumably from old hinging.
