The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- the full sheet, with a deckle edge at right.
- the colours bright and fresh.
- with some pale time-staining, predominantly at the sheet edges.
- a short tear (10 mm.) at the upper right sheet edge.
- a vertical crease along the right sheet edge and a diagonal crease (120 mm.) at the lower left sheet edge.
- small handling creases in the sheet (mainly visible in a raking light).
- some stray printing ink at the lower sheet edge verso, not showing recto.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
