The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the colours attenuated.
- the sheet with pronounced light- and uneven mount staining, recto and verso.
- pressure marks at the upper left and upper right margins, presumably caused by old hinging verso; mainly visible in raking light.
- occasional and unobtrusive pinpoint foxspots.
- remains of paper tape along all four sheet edges verso.
