The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the full sheet, with a deckle edge below.
- the colours attenuated, particularly the pinks and reds.
- pale mount staining.
- soft creasing at the upper right sheet edge, mainly visible in raking light.
- other soft handling creases in the margins.
- remains of old cloth and plastic tape hinges in several places at the sheet edges verso.
- some minor skinning due to the removal of tape at the sheet edges verso.
