The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a few plates with stray printing ink in the margins.
- a few occasional minor stains in the text sheets and margins.
- one text sheet with a short tear at the right edge.
- the titled paper wrapper with some stains, the wrapper with a short tear on the back.
- the cloth-covered portfolio with very minor wear and surface dirt in places, overall in very good condition.
