The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- the colours slightly attenuated.
- mount-staining.
- a soft diagonal crease in the lower margin, mainly visible in raking light.
- some pin-point foxing mainly visible in the margins and verso.
- remains of old glue from old hinges at the upper corners verso.
