The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with wide margins, presumably the full sheet.
- some very pale foxmarks on the body of Célestine and the cushion, a pinpoint foxmark to the left of her head.
- a couple of pale pinpoint foxmarks in the margins.
- with very pale mount staining.
- a flattened crease at the lower right and upper left corners.
- remains of old hinges and glue at the upper sheet edges verso.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition.
