The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with full margins.
- time- and mount staining recto and verso.
- the sheet spot glued in two places at the lower sheet edge recto, the extreme lower sheet therefore unexamined.
- a small scratch (3 mm.) at the extreme right of the image, with some minor associated ink loss.
- a small pale brown mark in the upper right margin.
- a pale and unobtrusive disruption to the printed surface in the upper right corner.
- light skinning at three corners associated with previous hinges and remains of fabric tape at the upper sheet corners verso.
Otherwise as described and in generally good condition.
