The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description:
- with wide margins, the sheet possibly slightly reduced.
- pale light and mount staining.
- unobtrusive pinpoint fox marks overall.
- stray printing ink in the margins visible at left and right, as is intrinsic to the making of the print.
- a crease in the lower centre subject, visible in raking light.
- with some other minor soft creasing at the sheet edges, as well as some cockling in the lower left margin.
- hinged with tape at the upper sheet edge, left and right, verso.
